Really cool and interesting mid-century design with so much to take in. Waterfalls and walking paths along the grounds, floor to ceiling windows with natural light galore, amazing period details including light fixtures that are works of art by themselves, etc. The art of geometric shapes in line and in light, this one is a different level of design than the typical mid-century and deserves to be considered on its own as a work of art of the 20th century. Really an interesting home, seems worthy of being a character in a movie to me!

This one is really cool. Brand new, built in 2016, this home’s mission is to capture the Victorian vibe of the neighborhood in a modern context. And I think they’ve done really well with it. The basic stats are it’s a 3bd/2.5ba with 1550sf located just a few blocks from the West Oakland BART station. The long term investment value here is tremendous, and in the short term your chance to get into this extremely convenient location to practically everything looks pretty darn reasonable especially compared with such digs in San Francisco. My advice is to give it some real consideration.
